As a genetic counsellor specializing in oncogenetics, Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October or Octobre Rose) has a deep meaning for me. It symbolizes a month dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer, a disease with a strong genetic basis.
During October Rose, my focus is on empowering individuals and families with information about their
genetic risk factors for breast cancer, promoting early detection and personalized prevention strategies.
