Quality Standards & Data Privacy
Our primary locations are accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15189 and/or DIN EN ISO 17025. These locations are monitored by the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS). MEDISYN SA must meet the relevant quality standards as part of the accreditation.
All work processes are continuously supervised and adapted to new requirements. Laboratory analyses are regularly verified using internal and external quality control testing (round-robin tests). Moreover, our employees continuously undergo internal and external further training, enabling them to stay up to date on the latest developments in laboratory medicine.
The rapid development of digitalisation and big data presents us with substantial challenges that require a solid foundation when it comes to data privacy and information security. It is imperative for us to meet the strict data privacy and regulatory requirements of our laboratory operations with adequate security measures.
The leadership of MEDISYN SA has gained a consistent understanding of the subjects of data privacy and security, and actively supports the required measures to protect our information. This has led to the creation of a role to oversee data privacy and information security. Jens Albrecht, our Data Privacy and Security Officer, has been tasked with preventively, as well as reactively, addressing all matters concerning data privacy and information security. His job is to integrate these aspects into the company’s organisational structure, bearing in mind a broader perspective.
